Holton man arrested on meth charges
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports that a Holton man was arrested on methamphetamine charges Wednesday. A Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2001 Ford Taurus in the 13000 block of 142nd Road for an alleged vehicle registration violation around 8:30 am Wednesday morning. Further investigation into the traffic stop led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Joshua Alan Shughart, 33, of Holton, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
