The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division oversees the Crime Scene Unit. The unit’s purpose is to provide the Investigations Division extra personnel and skills for large crime scenes or serious crimes. When activated the unit expands the Investigations Division personnel from 5 to 10. Each member receives specialized training in crime scene processing, interviewing and interrogation.
