Two arrested from search warrant southeast of Hoyt
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports that a drug search warrant was served early Friday morning at 9915 T.4 Road southeast of Hoyt. The search warrant was issued as a result of a drug investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies, detectives and DEA agents served the warrant. Rachael Deanne Butts, 45, of Hoyt, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of aggravated endangering a child. Also arrested, was John Arthur North, 51, of Hoyt, for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property. Deputies recovered a 2014 Chevy Cruze on the property which had been reported stolen out of Jefferson County. Two children in the residence were taken into police protective custody. Butts and North are being held in the Jackson County Jail.
