Two arrested in U-HAUL truck with meth
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports that two people were arrested on Wednesday in a U-Haul truck on drug charges. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a southbound U-Haul truck near 134th and US Hwy 75 in southern Jackson County for a traffic infraction shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 was deployed and indicated the detection of the odor of illegal narcotics. The driver, Steven Patrick Hernandez, 41, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked. The passenger, Mary Ann Hernandez, 46, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and drug paraphernalia.
