JACKSON COUNTY’S MOST WANTED CAPTURED
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office most wanted fugitive, 56-year-old Jerry Dean Curlee has been captured. Curlee also known as Papa Smurf was captured today in a cooperative effort between the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals of the Western District of Missouri. Curlee was taken into custody this afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri. Curlee had been out on bond for a felony DUI case and had been monitored via an electronic ankle bracelet. Curlee allegedly removed the ankle bracelet and fled the area. Jackson County Detectives have been in Kansas City, Missouri this week in an attempt to locate Curlee. Further charges on Curlee are anticipated.
