Mayetta man arrested for meth possession
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on April 5th 2024, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a blue in color GMC Sierra near 118th Road and U.S. Hwy 75 for a traffic infraction around 9 P.M. During the traffic stop, a Jackson County Sheriff’s K9 alerted to the odor of illegal drugs and or narcotics within the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were seized. David R. King, 51, of Mayetta, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
