JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on February 4, 2023, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Pontiac G6 driving southbound on U.S. Hwy 75 near 126th Road. During the traffic stop the deputy discovered what was believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine, two 9 mm handguns, multiple loaded syringes, marijuana, 50 pills of suboxone and other drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Patricia Nichols, 45, of Wamego, was arrested for distribution of stimulant, criminal use of weapons, possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The front seat passenger, Sheila Walker, 46, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, criminal use of weapons, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The back seat passenger, Marques Cates, 27, of El Dorado, was arrested for possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All subjects were booked into the Jackson County Jail.
