Two men arrested on methamphetamine charges

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on November 3, 2022, a 1993 Ford F-150 pickup was stopped for an alleged traffic infraction just east of U.S. 75 Hwy on 126th Road.  The driver, David Paul Jones, 37, of Enterprise, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the registered offender act, no vehicle registration, driving while suspended and no insurance. The passenger, Shawn Michael Preece, 52, of Junction City, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, possession of a hallucinogenic drug with intent to distribute and no drug tax stamp.
