Meth arrest on Christmas Eve
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports shortly before 11 p.m. on December 24th, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a Chevy Malibu near 142nd and U.S. Hwy 75 for a traffic infraction. The traffic stop ended with the driver being arrested on drug charges. Eris Shamer Hopkins, 27, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking contraband into a correctional facility, felony interference with law enforcement.
