Two arrested for meth charges during traffic stop north of Holton

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at about 8:45, a Jackson County Deputy Sheriff stopped a vehicle in the area of Northbound U75 HWY & Columbine Drive for a traffic infraction. During the stop, a quantity of methamphetamine and a hallucinogenic drug was located in the vehicle. Jessica Lynn Andrews, 40, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and transporting an open container. Russell Washington IV, 36, of Axtell, was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended. Washington also had several outstanding warrants from Shawnee County, Marshall County, and the Topeka Police Department.
