TWO IOWA MEN CAPTURED IN STOLEN VEHICLE

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports two men are in custody following a Saturday morning traffic stop in Holton.  Shortly after 4 A.M., Jackson County Sheriff Deputies were alerted by Richardson County, Nebraska authorities of a stolen Ford Crown Victoria that had been taken from Dawson, Nebraska.  The vehicle was believed to be headed south on U.S. Hwy 75.  Jackson County Deputies located the vehicle heading southbound north of Holton.  Deputies and Holton Police conducted a traffic stop near Arizona and Banner Drive on the south side of Holton.  A Jackson County Sheriff K-9 was used to bring the two occupants into custody.  Arrested were 23-year-old Dylan Ray Peters, of Council Bluffs, Iowa and 21-year-old Zachary Russell White, of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Both men are being held in the Jackson County Jail for felony theft. Peters is also being held for possession of a controlled substance.  White also had an outstanding warrant from the Iowa Department of Corrections for Robbery.
