Two individuals from Lawrence arrested on drug charges
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports that two individuals were arrested today on drug charges. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a Honda Civic for a traffic infraction that was northbound near 254th and US Hwy 75 around 2 am this morning. Further investigation revealed that the pair were allegedly in possession of illegal narcotics. The driver, Daniel Lee Willits, 44, of Lawrence, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of weapons. The passenger, Misty Dawn Jane Napier, 24, of Lawrence, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and no drug tax stamp.
