VALLEY FALLS MAN ARRESTED ON METH CHARGES FOLLOWING PURSUIT
A Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a male subject in the Walmart parking lot in Holton Wednesday night that appeared to be behaving in a suspicious manner. The subject left in a 1997 Honda passenger car and headed south of Holton on US Hwy 75 allegedly at a high rate of speed. The deputy observed the vehicle heading east on 162nd Road and allegedly committing traffic infractions. A short pursuit ensued into the City of Mayetta where the pursuit was terminated. The driver and only occupant was identified as James Michael Costello Jr., 40, of Valley Falls. Costello was arrested for being in possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal carrying a weapon and eluding a law enforcement officer. The Mayetta Police Department assisted with the incident. Costello was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
