TOPEKA MAN ARRESTED IN STOLEN VEHICLE
A Topeka man was arrested following a car stop in a stolen vehicle in rural Jackson County Thursday afternoon. Jackson County deputies stopped a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta near 134th and O. Road in Jackson County for a traffic infraction. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Topeka Police Department on June 22, 2015. The driver was identified as Justin Christopher White, 39, of Topeka. White was booked into the Jackson County Jail for the following: possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, illegal registration, criminal possession of an explosive device. Law enforcement removed items believed to be improvised explosive devices from the vehicle. White is currently awaiting bond at this time.
