Two arrested in the early morning hours for meth
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on April 25, 2024, shortly before 5 A.M. a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Cherokee at 106th and U.S. Hwy 75 near Hoyt for a traffic infraction. During the traffic stop, a Jackson County Sheriff K-9 detected the presence of illegal drugs and or narcotics within the vehicle. A probable cause search resulted in locating drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine.
The driver of the vehicle Spencer H. Small, 48, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended 3rd or subsequent, driving while habitual violator 3rd or subsequent, no vehicle insurance, and no vehicle registration.
The passenger Cindia Dianne Cott, 57, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
