Topeka woman arrested for possession of methamphetamine
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on Thursday April 11, 2024, around 4:30 A.M., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Dakota for traffic infractions near 142nd and U.S. Hwy 75. A Jackson County Sheriff K9 was deployed which alerted to the presence of illegal drug contraband inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and 7.5 Grams of Methamphetamine was located along with drug paraphernalia. Sandra Kay Groves, 66, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and transporting an open container.
