Hiawatha man arrested on drug charges
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports on Monday, March 18, 2024, at around 6 P.M., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a silver Dodge Durango on U.S. Hwy 75, just south of 330th Road for a traffic infraction. During the stop, probable cause was obtained to search the vehicle where round blue pills, known as “Dirty 30’s” and drug paraphernalia was discovered.
The driver, Steven Perry, 34, of Hiawatha, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for distribution of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and no insurance.
