Topeka man arrested for possession of methamphetamine
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on February 21, 2024 at around 1 A.M. a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle near U.S. Hwy 75 and 118th Road. During the traffic stop illegal drug contraband was discovered. Thomas Carl Schmitt, 54, of Topeka was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
