Topeka man jailed on burglary and theft charges

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on June 1, 2023, a Topeka man was arrested on burglary, theft and criminal damage charges. Martyne Christopher Elmer, 55, of Topeka, was arrested following an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office. Martyne is suspected of committing burglaries and thefts on multiple occasions at a property on 110th Road in Southern Jackson County. Elmer remains in the Jackson County Jail.
