Topekan arrested for cocaine possession
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that a Topeka man was arrested Thursday morning following a traffic stop in southern Jackson County. Shortly after 9 A.M., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on 134th Road near S. Road south of Mayetta on a Ford Escape for a traffic infraction. The driver, Carlos Acevedo, 28, of Topeka, was subsequently arrested for possession of cocaine and driving while suspended. Acevedo was booked into the Jackson County Jail.
