Hoyt pedestrian struck by pickup truck

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports a Hoyt man has been transported to a Topeka hospital after he was struck by a vehicle. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a pedestrian was struck by a motorist shortly before 7:30 pm this evening. A westbound 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck struck a pedestrian in the 12000 block of 110th Road west of Q. Road. The pedestrian was taken by Jackson County EMS to Stormont Vail and is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries. Jackson County EMS, Hoyt and Mayetta Fire Departments responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
