JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports that a Topeka woman was arrested on Thursday morning following a traffic stop. A Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a 2009 Dodge Charger near 150th and Q. Road for alleged registration violations around 8 a.m. The subsequent investigation into the traffic stop led to the arrest of the driver for drug charges. Deputies seized methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, U.S. currency and a firearm from the vehicle. The driver, Kelsey Nicolle Kaberline, 27, of Topeka, was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in possession of a firearm, and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility. Kaberline was booked into the Jackson County Jail. The Kansas Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
