Two arrested on methamphetamine charges
On January 4th, at approximately 6:30 pm, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2003 Nissan Maxima for allegedly driving without headlights after sunset near US Hwy 75 and K-9 Hwy. The driver and the passenger were both arrested by deputies. The driver, Gary Dean Wilson, 64, of Holton, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, transporting an open container, and no insurance. The passenger, John Edward Hughbanks, 58, of Ozawkie, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Both men were booked into the Jackson County Jail.
