TWO MEN ARRESTED AT SALVAGE YARD BREAK IN

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports two men are in custody following a Netawaka Salvage yard break in near 330th and U.S. Hwy 75.  At approximately 3:50 A.M., deputies reported a sighting of two men at the salvage yard.  Deputies and other area law enforcement secured the perimeter around the salvage yard.  The Kansas Highway Patrol, Kickapoo Police Department, Holton Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the search for the two men. A Jackson County Sheriff’s Office drone and K-9 were used in the search.  The Jackson County Sheriff’s drone located a subject just east of the salvage yard lying in a field.  Shortly thereafter, a second man was located by the drone in a soybean field east of the property and east of U.S. Hwy 75.  Both men were taken into custody and identified as 59-year-old, Ronald Almon Wieland Jr., of Topeka and 49-year-old, Michael Ray Young, of Topeka. Both men are being held in the Jackson County Jail for suspicion of burglary, attempted theft and drug charges.
