Holton man being held on burglary charge

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports a Holton man is in custody following a burglary report to a Holton residence on Sunday morning. Shortly after 12:30 a.m. law enforcement was notified of an intruder inside a residence at 217 W. 4th Street in Holton.  The Holton Police and Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the address.  Deputies and Police Officers found signs of forced entry to the residence and a man on the floor being held at gunpoint by the owner of the property. The man, Dylan Lynard Thomas, 27, of Holton was placed under arrest.  Thomas was booked into the Jackson County Jail for attempted aggravated burglary, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. It was reported that the subject had been dressed in a Halloween type costume.
