Fugitive Apprehended in Horton

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a fugitive that was believed to have been on the run for several months. Chelsea Jean Finch, 25, of Hiawatha, was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies following serving a search warrant for Finch at 150 W. 14th Street in the City of Horton. Deputies found Finch hiding in the attic of the residence. A male subject, Dylan Lynard Thomas, 23, of Horton, was arrested by Horton Police for felony interference with law enforcement. Finch was placed into custody, and transported to the Jackson County Jail. While at the Jail, it was discovered that Finch allegedly trafficked methamphetamine into the facility. Finch is currently being held on two no bond Jackson County warrants and for trafficking contraband into a correctional facility, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell,  possession of drug paraphernalia, and interference with law enforcement. Bond on the drug charges was set at $50,000.00. The Horton Police Department and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation and apprehension of Finch.
