SEX CRIME SUSPECT CAPTURED

Leon C. Holloway, 49 of Hoyt,  was arrested on Saturday May 23rd on a Jackson County District Court Warrant. The Warrant was issued as a result of a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office investigation involving allegations of sexual misconduct with a Jackson County child under 14 years of age. Holloway was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties with a child and attempted rape. The crimes are alleged to have occurred between April, 2012 and March of 2015. The incidents are alleged to have taken place in the City of Hoyt, in Jackson County, Kansas. Holloway was booked into the Jackson County Jail with bond being set at $75,000.00.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies served a search warrant at Holloway’s Hoyt residence on April 28th, 2015. The search warrant had been issued in connection with the allegations.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the apprehension of Holloway from a residence where he had been staying near Quenemo, Kansas
