Suspect Arrested in ATV Theft in Topeka
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth Max Ray Jr. 33 of Topeka for felony theft. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen yellow 2001 Honda EX ATV from the 13000 block of 118th Road in rural Hoyt on January 11th. The investigation led JASO investigators to obtain a search warrant to serve on a Topeka residence on SE 17th Street in Topeka. However, prior to the warrant being served, authorities located the yellow ATV at a Topeka Convenience store last evening in the area of 15th and Adams. Kenneth Max Ray Jr. was arrested on scene and taken into custody by Jackson County deputies. The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the apprehension of Ray. Ray Jr. is being held in the Jackson County Jail. Bond on Ray Jr. is pending at this time.
