Traffic stop led to arrest of couple with meth
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that on Friday March 1st, around 4:30 P.M., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Sheriff stopped a passenger car for an alleged traffic infraction in the vicinity of 134th Road and P Road in Jackson County. During the stop, illegal drug contraband was seized. The driver, Savannah Jo Cain, 37, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Diandre Lee Spates, 51, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, felony interference with law enforcement and felony possession of hallucinogenic drugs.
