VACANT HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire located at 2348 270th Road, Soldier, Kansas around 1:45 A.M. Friday morning.  Soldier and Holton Fire Departments and Jackson County EMS responded to the scene. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office also responded.  The house was not occupied and is believed to have been vacant in recent months.  Crews continued into daylight hours extinguishing hot spots. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas State Marshal’s Office are investigating the incident.  If anyone has any information regard this fire, they are asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at 785-364-2251.
