Two arrested on drug charges
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports that two people were arrested in Jackson County on drug charges. A Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Kia Amanti for alleged license tag violations. The traffic stop took place near 134th and U.S. 75 Hwy, at approximately 9 A.M. on December 11th. The driver, Shawna Jailyn Rogers, 34, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended. The passenger, Thomas William Mangum, 59, of Topeka, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault on a law enforcement officer and interference with law enforcement. Both subjects were booked into and remain in the Jackson County Jail.
