Two arrested on drug charges
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2002 Acura passenger car for a traffic infraction west of US Hwy 75 on 150th shortly after midnight on Friday. Deputies observed what they believed to be drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of what was believed to be methamphetamine and a hallucinogenic drug. The driver, Tina Marie Sylvia Ramirez, 29, of Topeka, was arrested and the passenger, Benjamin Charles Mclain, 34, of Auburn, was arrested. Both subjects were booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
