JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports a Delia man was arrested early Wednesday morning following a pursuit in southwestern Jackson County. A Jackson County deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2006 Ford F-250 pickup truck for traffic infractions shortly after midnight near 126th Road and US Hwy 75. The vehicle allegedly failed to yield to the deputy and continued south on US Hwy 75 increasing its speed. Deputies and KHP pursued the vehicle in southwestern Jackson County for about 25 minutes until authorities lost site of the vehicle. Deputies were able to obtain the license number from the tag and met the suspect as he returned to his residence in the 8000 Block of 110th Road. Shanon Dee Saia, 58, of Delia was placed under arrest by Jackson County deputies. Saia was booked into the Jackson County Jail for fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer, interference with law enforcement, and driving under the influence.
