JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports on April 22, 2021, shortly before 11 pm, a Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 for a traffic infraction on US Hwy 75 at Elk Creek on the north side of Holton. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, an additional substance believed to be a simulated controlled substance. The driver, Candace Eyangel Gilbreath, 24, of Ennis, Texas and the passenger, Matthew Elewel Sablan, 24, of Corsicana, Texas were both arrested, and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession with the intent to distribute a simulated substance.
