JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO)-Sheriff Tim Morse reports that a 15-year-old male student is in custody following an investigation into threats on social media towards students at the Holton High School. The Holton Police Department and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office jointly conducted an investigation into threats that were generated over the weekend and Monday evening. There has been a strong law enforcement presence at the school on Monday and Tuesday. It is believed that the suspect was the sole person involved in making the threats. Police officers and deputies served a search warrant on a residence in the City of Holton shortly before midnight. During the search warrant, the suspect was placed into custody. A number of electronic devices were seized from the residence.
