Man arrested following pursuit
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (JASO) – Sheriff Tim Morse reports a Topeka man was arrested Wednesday following a short vehicle pursuit in Holton. A Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a Ford Mustang shortly before 2 a.m. in Holton. The vehicle allegedly failed to stop and a short pursuit ensued ending near 6th and Dakota Street. The driver, Derrick Alan Ironshield, 31, of Topeka was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer. The Holton Police Department assisted with the incident.
