Money can also be added to an Inmate Account using the Kiosk located in the jail lobby.
Bonding Procedures
What To Do If you wish to Bond a Person from the Jackson County Jail
Inquire the inmate’s charges and bond amount form the Jackson County Correctional Staff.
Determine if you wish to pay a cash bond or utilize the services of an authorized bonding agent.
Notify the correctional staff at 785-364-4121 of your decision.
If you choose to utilize a bonding agent, the 2nd Judicial District must approve him or her.

New Web Based Inmate Video Visitation
This system is a product of City Telecoin and allows prisoners more visits and less restrictive visitation hours. It requires less staff and less travel by visitors resulting in savings to both the visitor and general public.
Visitation from Home
Inmates are allowed up to 30 minutes per visit. These visits are conducted via the Internet from video stations located in prisoner housing units, and from PCs at home.

CONDUCT
If a Video Visitor is:
- Disruptive
- Acting in an inappropriate manner
- Not properly dressed
OR
If during the Video Visit, the Inmate becomes:
- Disruptive
- Acts in an inappropriate manner
The visit will be stopped by staff and future visitation privileges may be revoked

Inmate Phone System
Inmates are allowed to place phone calls from the facility from 7 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week. They are allowed to set up a phone account using their Inmate Account to place direct calls or may call collect.
